Miraggio beach

We are extremely dissatisfied with the bugs in our room. This photo was taken on the second day, after having our room sprayed for a different type of bug on the first day. This is far below the standards I expect from a hotel of this caliber. Despite voicing our concerns, the hotel did nothing to address our complaint. I would not recommend this place or return here. The sea is acceptable, but Chalkidiki offers much better swimming spots, such as Kallithea. The pool is salty and mineral-rich. While my child enjoyed the pool, it caused significant eye irritation.

Mirragio Thermal Spa Resort is our preferred destination for beach vacations. We've visited around 9-10 times over the past four years. The hotel is stunning, with spacious and modern rooms, and we always have a wonderful experience. Although the breakfast can be quite noisy and crowded, we still plan on returning.

The hotel is located in a stunning and scenic area. However, during check-in, they don't always guide you to your room, and given the hotel's vast size, it can be quite frustrating to locate your room on your own. Additionally, they didn't assist with parking our car, leading to more wandering and wasted time. On the positive side, the food variety is impressive, and the waitstaff are courteous. Unfortunately, the bathroom door creaked loudly. Despite these issues, the hotel is clean and well-maintained throughout.

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience to warn others. Despite its 5-star rating and beautiful pictures, this place is far from what it seems. Here’s a rundown of my 3-day stay at the Miraggio, where I had two rooms: 1. No Air Conditioning: I repeatedly complained to management, but they insisted it was working. However, it only cooled the room to 5°C below the outside temperature. With 38°C outside, the room never got cooler than 26°C, and that was at 4 am. 2. No Hot Water: A cold shower in the morning was quite the wake-up call. This issue was never resolved. 3. DO NOT DISTURB Sign Ignored: Housekeeping and minibar checks happened despite the sign, offering no privacy. 4. Nonexistent Customer Service: Some wait staff were extremely rude, and there were long waits for everything. 5. Poor Quality Food: The food was of cheap quality, reminiscent of a budget all-inclusive resort, yet everything had to be paid for. 6. Lack of Greek Hospitality and Food: Despite being in Greece, there was hardly any Greek hospitality or cuisine, which is disappointing given my 50 years of visiting the country. In summary, this place is a dump. Stay far away.

We were let down by certain aspects of the service. For a five-star resort, some parts of the experience fell short, and the food was just average. The most challenging part was the exorbitant pricing of drinks and additional services, including the spa. Being so isolated and far from any local town or supermarket makes it very difficult to leave the resort to explore or purchase drinks. It's unfortunate because the rooms were lovely and the location was beautiful, but I won't be coming back.
