The beach was a 35-minute taxi ride from the pier, and while the water displayed a stunning array of colors, that was the extent of its appeal. If you opt to travel in a cramped minibus with ten other people, you'll only pay $2-$20, but a regular taxi will cost you $25 for the round trip. The view of the beach is pleasant, but the sea is quite rough, with enormous waves that make swimming impossible. Two lounge chairs and an umbrella will set you back $15, but beware of who you rent them from; we were directed to the wrong individuals by a group of women who tried to swindle us for $30, despite not even working there. The loungers and umbrella were in terrible condition and unsanitary. Furthermore, I felt uneasy at the beach due to the presence of numerous local gangs of young men, who were drinking and leering at everyone on the beach. I did not enjoy my time in Barbados.
This beach is absolutely stunning and always has open arms for visitors. You can rent beach chairs with umbrellas to relax under the sun. There are also tables near the restaurants, such as Chicken George, where you can enjoy your meals. If you're fortunate, you may spot some wildlife, like birds and crabs. Across the street, you'll find a plethora of restaurants, gift shops, and even an electronics store. Additionally, if you're feeling too hot to play at the nearby playground, there's one located in Chefette's just across the street. If you happen to arrive when there's seaweed in the water, don't worry, it typically clears up within a few days.
What a splendid seaside! The sand is immaculate, the waves are gentle, the water is as clear as a bell, and there are even facilities for freshening up and enjoying a drink or a meal. It's like a slice of paradise on earth, only with the added bonus of modern conveniences. Who needs a tropical getaway when you have this gem of a beach in your own backyard?
This beach is simply perfect! The water is crystal clear, serene, and boasts an exquisite shade of blue. It's the kind of place that makes you appreciate the beauty of our planet. For USD$15, you can rent two chairs and an umbrella. There are also various food and drink options available throughout the beach. It's quite possibly my top pick for beaches in Barbados!
