Great! There's a carpark a bit further away, but it's worth the short walk to get there.
We took a leisurely hike to Playa Cala Camps Vells from a nearby parking lot. Our kids had a blast! We collected a plethora of stunning stones and shells, and took a few moments to relax on the beach. The sun was setting, and the rocks glowed a gorgeous golden hue in the twilight. This was an ideal hike for children, and the scenery was breathtaking.
A small stretch of shoreline, covered in algae and shells. The water is clean, but the stones have been washed away, leaving a barren landscape. There is no toilet and it is forbidden to bring animals. Many of the locals like to sunbathe topless, making it an uncomfortable experience for some.
That place was a real eye-opener - the amount of plastic was astounding! From large chunks to tiny particles, there was even a plastic soldier. Sadly, it's not much different from most beaches around the world. Let's put a stop to this plastic problem and start using more sustainable materials!
Leaving your car around 700 metres from the cove, the path is easy to traverse without the need for shoes. However, the shoreline isn't quite as inviting as expected, with dried seaweed instead of sand. This can be a nuisance, with the wind blowing the seaweed onto your towel and sticking to your body. It's not the most pleasant swimming spot, with rocky terrain and booties recommended for a safe and comfortable dip. However, it's still a great spot for a couple of hours, and there's always the other nearby cove to explore. This one is much quieter, with sand instead of seaweed and perfect for snorkelling - making it the perfect spot to spend the day.
