This place is definitely one of the best I've seen in Spain - easy to get to and with no need to embellish it.
I recently visited the gorgeous bay near L'Escala at the end of July. It wasn't too busy, and there was plenty of parking.
This small, picturesque beach (cala) is a great spot to spend the day. It has golden sand, a few restaurants nearby, and kayak rentals. Parking was convenient and it wasn't overly crowded in September, although it probably is during August.
Beautiful, with bright blue water and lots of fish to see - it's really a nice spot. The surrounding area is also impressive. Unfortunately, the paid parking spots fill up quickly, and while there are free parking lots on the street, accessing them can be a bit of a hassle. Fortunately, the beach is easy to access, making it an ideal destination for a day trip.
Cala is a beautiful beach with great amenities and a lifeguard on duty. I saw a restaurant and kayak/small boat rentals too. There's also a lovely walk around the bay. It's not too big, but it was easy to find a spot and not too crowded when I was there. What's more, it's easily accessible.
