We anchored here for one night - a couple hundred yards off the beach - and it was simply stunning. It was the first sandy beach we had seen along the coast, and it was well-marked for swimmers' safety, with markers to keep dinghies, jetskis, and kayaks away. There are outdoor showers to rinse off the sand, and a well-defined channel marked with green and red markers to help boaters come ashore. It's a great spot for babies and children, as it's tucked away in a horseshoe-shaped bay. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and even a small market within a few hundred yards of the beach, making it easy to access.
This location is the perfect for a quick dip in the beautiful, warm waters of the Bay. Unfortunately, the toilets are not open until 4pm - so plan accordingly. But, it's still worth a visit!
This place is really great, especially in the evening. There are some small stands on the beach that sell clothes and put on little shows. Plus, the restaurants nearby are all really good, so it's hard to choose where to eat!
The beach at Cabo de Gato National Park is truly stunning, though it can be quite windy. It's a popular spot with lots of restaurants and, while the shops are nice, they are a bit pricey. We visited in mid-April, and unfortunately, the toilets and changing rooms on the beach weren't operational yet, likely due to it not being the season. The water is crystal clear and shallow, making it great for kids. All in all, it's certainly worth a visit.
This town beach is great for snorkeling; we saw a variety of fish. There are showers, toilets, and some restaurants nearby. The weather in mid-September was perfect - about 28 degrees and sunny. The sand isn't white, but it's dark. If you're looking for a more beautiful, secluded spot, you'll need to drive outside the town.
