The beach used to be a paradise, with sand that could rival the likes of Cíes, Ons, etc. But it was all taken away by those who were only after their own gain. In its place, they filled it with untreated quarry and sea soil, which is hard, thick and unpleasant. Now there are many stakes from nurseries that can be dangerous during high tide, making it unsafe for swimming or diving. It's a real shame what this beach has become. It's a tragedy, indeed.
The crystal-clear waters of the beach are a refreshing treat, while the sand is slightly rough, with pebbles and seashells scattered throughout.
I strongly dislike this beach; there are far more appealing alternatives.
That place is the perfect spot for a getaway if you're looking for a quick escape from Santiago and Pontevedra. And the best part? It even has its own train station for easy access. So why wait? Get packing and head to the beach!
