The pulpo restaurant is highly recommended due to the amazing staff. However, the left side of the beach is the absolute highlight.

This beach stole my heart with its charming atmosphere and friendly locals. As I strolled along the sandy shore, I couldn't resist trying the mouth-watering almond treats sold by the vendors at a reasonable price. The locals here are true entrepreneurs, offering refreshing coconut water as you make your way to the neighboring Playa Blanca. And if you're feeling adventurous, the legendary Honey River is just a stone's throw away. Legend has it that bathing in its waters guarantees a return to Baracoa, and I can attest that it's true. This beach is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone exploring the area.

If you happen to find yourself in Baracoa during your travels to Cuba, make sure to visit this beach. Despite being small, it stands out in a city where the beaches are typically black volcanic sand. Positioned at the mouth of the Miel river, you can reach it by walking east and crossing a bridge that can be either passable or impassable. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi. This hamlet was used as a filming location for Robinson Crusoe, and the beach is beautiful in its natural state. If you ask the locals, they may organize an excursion for you to see amazing formations from a balcony and end up in a lagoon within a cave. You can do all of this during the daytime. Additionally, you can take advantage of the opportunity to hire a resident to take you back to the city by boat through the mangroves, ending at the baseball stadium.

We had a lovely time at this beach while traveling from Baracoa to Yumuri. Along the way, we were amazed by a remarkable coconut tree with two trunks. It was incredible to witness the fishermen passing by with their catch in hand. The water was crystal clear, as is typical in Cuba, and the beaches were naturally shaded. It was not very crowded, which was a plus. We also enjoyed dining at the chiringuito and savoring our Bucanero.
